According to TMZ, Chief Keef was arrested in Atlanta yesterday on charges of disorderly conduct.

Earlier this year, the 17-year-old Chicago rapper (born Keith Cozart) was sentenced to 60 days in prison after violating his probation. The probation stemmed from a January 2011 incident in which he pointed a gun at a Chicago police officer.

Dance music legend Giorgio Moroder, who contributed to the new Daft Punk album, came to Williamsburg club Output last night (5/20) for his first-ever NYC DJ appearance, as part of the Red Bull Music Academy NYC residency. He took the stage just after midnight (so technically 5/21, just as the Daft Punk album was officially released) and, with DJ Chris Cox, played until about 1:45 AM.

Singer/songwriter Diane Birch was in attendance and she said it was "her and a bunch of dudes" (or MoBROders), and also that it "may have been the sickest thing [she's] ever seen." Were you there? If so, what did you think?

The Rainbow Venues get ready to rumble this August.

Circo Loco is back in Birmingham, and for this year’s festival they are taking over the entire Arena space for a very special large-scale event. In conjunction with Type Festival, they have announced a killer list of artists and DJs including Detroit legend Kerri Chandler, Prosumer, Maceo Plex, Joy Orbison, Carl Craig, Move D and plenty more.

Set in the winding back-streets of Digbeth, this should bring some much needed action to Brum this summer so if you’re around on August 10-11, you know what to do.

The members of the National are gracefully-aging Midwestern-transplanted New Yorkers who wear suits a lot, and the same is also true of David Letterman. They’re a natural fit for one another. Today, the National release their grand and confident new album Trouble Will Find Me. And last night, they came through Letterman’s show, playing a dense and inward version of “Don’t Swallow The Cap” with a full complement of string and horn players, as well as Doveman’s Thomas Bartlett on keyboard. Tricky rides again.

Tricky‘s on form right now, with new album

Only a year after their last release, San Diego rockers Crocodiles will be releasing a new LP titled Crimes of Passion on August 20th via Frenchkiss Records. Sune Rose Wagner assisted with the production duties on this release. “Cockroach” is serving as the first glimpse into the new release. The guitars punch on this cut with a ferocious combination of garage and surf rock trademarks. Stream and download the song below.

The latest mix CD in Rinse’s series comes from Hyperdub founder Kode9.

Although the mix’s closing section focuses on the footwork that has become an important part of Kode9′s sets in recent years, it’s the first 20 minutes that we keep coming back to. Kicking off with Burial’s ‘Truant’, it rolls through Theo Parrish’s ‘Kites on Pluto’, a breathtaking collaboration between Roses Gabor and Morgan Zarate titled ‘Pusher Taker’, Alex Parkin & Chris Lorenzo’s belting ‘What Must I Prove 2 U?’ and more. Oh, and watch out for DVA’s ‘Chilli Burrito’, which is completely batshit.
